Support Services Sector Conference
The Support Services Sector Conference which was held in London on 10th September was attended by 80 fund managers and companies and has received very positive feedback. Presentations were made by Carl Emmerson of the Institute for Fiscal Studies and by Sir Andrew Foster, Chairman of the Commission on 2020 Public Services and by companies operating across a range of different public sector markets. The presentations covered views on expected developments in public sector procurement and how these could affect businesses operating in this market, with consideration given to expected trends in government funding, expected trends in outsourcing, key market and contract opportunities, and overall prospects for the private sector.
