Over 70 investors, CEOs and FDs from around the country attended the 18th Corporate & Advisory Broking annual conference, hosted in Newcastle on 6th & 7th October 2011. The event is the largest small-cap investor conference of its kind to take place outside London and this year again attracted a wide audience from the investment and corporate community despite the precarious state of financial markets generally.
The two day event followed our usual pattern with site visits for investors to see first hand the operations of a range of quoted companies either headquartered or with operating sites in the North East. They included Greggs, Grainger Trust, Narec, Immunodiagnostics and Zytronic. 120 people attended the dinner in The Riverside Restaurant in the Baltic Centre in Newcastle.
With the creation of our new business N+1 Brewin in view, Jorge Mataix, Vice Chairman of N+1 Group addressed the audience after dinner.
Jamie Cumming, Head of Corporate Advisory & Broking said :`The annual conference is always a great success and we were delighted so many of our institutional and corporate clients, along with our new partner N+1 Group, were able to join us. As ever it is an excellent opportunity for people to meet with existing contacts as well as establishing new ones.
